The Benefits of Outsource Training

Does your company offer outside training to employees? If not, you may want to consider it. The American Society for Training and Development found in a recent study that firms that invest in outsource training programs for their employees realize 218 percent higher gross income per employee than firms that rely solely on in-house programs.

Furthermore, in-house training can be more costly -- up to 73 percent more than out-source training, according to Avatech, an information management firm. Whereas an on-staff trainer requires a salary and benefits, outside training companies are usually fee-based.

Other benefits of ongoing training include higher employee morale and lower turnover. Also, firms that encourage employee participation tend to fare better when the economy turns south. Many agree that investing in employees through training is one way to validate how important they are to the company, not to mention the knowledge that well-trained employee brings to the company.

Are you afraid that your employees will benefit from the training they get at your company and then leave the company? If so, consider the alterative: employees who AREN'T trained and STAY?.
