How High-Performing Companies Succeed

High-performing companies -- those with an average five-year total shareholder return that exceeds the global average for their industry -- have already begun to implement many of the strategies that will place them in the strongest position to win the new war for talent. In addition to aggressively using variable pay and differentiating the workforce, high-performing companies communicate more reward information to their employees, spend more time educating their employees about the business as a whole and focus more on training managers to effectively communicate to employees the link between performance and rewards.
